I love dogs and cats but I have such bad allergies that I can't even consider having one. A specialist insisted that I gave my dog away when I was younger. I get very bad eczema and other allergies if I am not very careful. This probably sounds trivial, but it isn't to me ... ...

Take care,
Fuzzy

Hi! I am sorry to hear of your allergy to dogs and cats. I do not have a dog or cat, though did when I was younger liveing with my family. I can't get a dog or cat right now cause there is a $300 deposit on the pet in order to have one.

I had though of a dog, only I live on the 3rd floor and would have to take it outside to go, in the back and they frown on taking the dogs in the elevator and there is no way I could take 3 flights of stairs down then back up. Also with my depression I am unsure if I would always have the will to take the dog out and that makes me sad.

If you could go to an Allergy Doctor, could the doctor give you some medicine or shots that you could get to take in order to make you not allergic to the animals? I don't know but know that I take allergy medicine for I don't know what and thought maybe they could give you some medicine so you could have a pet.

I am sorry that this is causing you sadness and distress, I will be thinking of you (((fuzzy))) and hope you feel better. Take Care-Chris

Fuzzy,

I know you've probably looked into this, but there are several breeds of dogs that do not have dander, and therefore are usually ok for people with allergies. When I was young, I had a friend who was severely asthmatic and had terrible allergies., but they had a miniature schanuzer that she was fine with.

Honey, I feel so bad that you have been made to think your problems are trivial. Just because something isn't life-threatening does mean it's trivial. And things that interfere with your daily life add up, so even if it might be trivial to deal with it once or twice, living with it every day can be quite a burden. No one should diminish what you are going through, just because they can't understand how difficult it is for you.

*bear hugs*

(((((((((((((((((((((((fuzzy))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I wish I had a magic wand to wipe away all your allergies. Then after I did that I'd wave the wand over my head so I could get rid of mine too especially the allergy to chocolate. Anyway I know what you are going through and I wish I could help.

Thank you! ((((((((((Peanut, Susan, Kris, Jo and Janniebug)))))))))) I'll let you know if I get anywhere with this. It's not really a good time to get a dog with Mike out of work, but maybe someday ... Thanks for being so supportive and understanding, Fuzzy xxx
