I haven’t. But just now I felt how nice it must be to just accept the way you are. I guess I’ve tried for very long to pretend to be other than I am.
But then I think that to accept is just to stop working on yourself and “giving up”

Acceptance in the Present Moment does not hinder potential. We only have to accept each Present Moment to be in acceptance. There is infinite potential in each moment.

Acceptance means being fully aware of it and knowing when you need to get out your coping tools. Acceptance means knowing this is a part of me and not denying it. For many of us, it's about living with it.

No... I can never accept it. All I can do is live with it. And I do...

I accept the way I am because fighting it is just too exhausting. I am forever a work in progress, but I completely accept who I am today.

I don't know about giving up. It's good to always be open to change and improvement. But expecting yourself to "just get over" something and be different isn't fair.

I accept it and I hate it, therefore I'm always looking to change it.

I haven't realized the extent of my issues yet. they were never acknowledged and if they were, they were punished, so I'm still discovering who I am and what my disorders may be effecting. interesting question. i think for me realizing it would help me a lot. it would help me understand myself and the enemy: life. And then I will be able to do better.

I guess that I have low self esteem. Some people say that I am great; and then I don't really believe it for some reason. I have never liked for myself having been shy and not much of a go getter all of my life. So many times I think that others can do their lives so much better than I could. I especially have hated the way I am when it came to get someone to become a mate of mine.
I've gotten older and I feel like I have always been the way I am. So changing myself seems harder now. I feel like I've just accepted the way things are now for me. Ray Romano, the star of the show "Everybody Loves Raymond" one time said that everyone loves Raymond except Raymond. |
