I’ve realised how standardised some of the blaming comments from “professionals” in the uk are.

Therapist “you’re not endearing”

I could have said anything and that T would have come up with that or similar. They have a time limit for people to move through the “system”

How sad,

I could have told him “stop with the ********”. Or I could have simply eaten him.

True. I suppose the experienced "professionals" have a large repertoire of "conversation stoppers" at the ready.

Ok, I don't know the context here, but what an odd thing to say.

Sadly, this is probably true & the 'system' probably expects them to get through x appointments per given period - which is probably unhelpful for a process that needs to be tailored around an individual patient's situation.

I'm not sure that would have been a good idea - I'd heard that therapists are high in bad cholesterol, or saturated fats, or something else gastrically ghastly...

Haha I actually laughed at the part you wrote about his saturated fat content. I do worry about my gastrointestinal distress

He was absolutely ghastly, he said he had no “empathy” for me, but only after I’d lined his fat wallet.

He had said I could “do anything I like in therapy” and he would “analyse” it..

I didn’t freakin do anything “wrong” - except not give him enough “supply”

Well, your comment about simply eating him gave me a giggle!

Sounds like something from the 'You have to pull yourself together' school of treatment...

That rather makes you sound like an unfulfilled coke habit!
To be fair, I'm not sure that I could do his job (suppressed empathy would drive me loopy), but I do find myself thinking 'D- he must try harder'...

He was a Freudian ... enough said on that

At one point he mentioned that the sessions were “feeds” ..

Maybe for him they were

Part of the “problem” was the mystique of “analysis” which he tried to do.

I wasn’t as depressed back then

... I couldn’t do his job either probably, if people baited me enough I might not smile nicely at them..
