hey we are all different here...what works for you...that is important..
what is true for you...it may not be the same for others..
these anti-depressants that I took....did they work for me...I don't really know...
I have had terrible depressions...is all depression the same...do we all need the same treatment...I am starting to question what the doctors and therapists have
been telling me...what is the cause of my depression...what is the cause ....
I don't know...

I am a broken down psychiatrist....
I am very angry at what I saw in psychiatry...
I was told by the top psychiatrists to talk less and give more drugs..
well that didn't work for me then or now...I want to talk more...
psychiatrists may be harming more than helping..
and that makes me very upset...I don't like this...
as a doctor I was told to DO NO HARM...
I have been taken down many times trying to fight this..
this has caused me major anxiety and depression...

I agree with you that psychiatrists do more harm than good. They seem to have sold themselves out to the pharmaceutical companies. We're talking well educated people here who spend 10 minutes of a session asking about the side effects of a drug they prescribed and the last 5 minutes (it's 15 minute session at $200) writing out another prescription to counteract the new problem caused by the first prescription. I know this from a friend.

If you are a psychiatrist yourself, Little Turtle, you can treat your patients the way YOU see fit. You can make a difference in the industry and be first doctor who actually talks to his clients. You can make a difference without prescribing drugs. Your clients will thank you for it and will have more money in their pockets to lessen their stress.

I don't think they do more harm than good. For me, meds have been a lifesaver. I do agree that they should talk to patients more though. My psychiatrist talks to me for half an hour.

I guess I’ve been lucky. My psych doc definitely helped me. I don’t feel harmed at all.

I believe I said that psychiatrists MAY be harming more than helping...
I am not talking about individuals...I was helped by one psychiatrist very much....I am talking in general..i don't know for sure..

I am mainly talking about giving too many people drugs for everything...
and no talk about what might be causing the depression...

I certainly personally consulted both a psychologist and a psychiatrist who harmed but did not help,

Apparently, I’m not “endearing” - psychologist

And there was “no point” in seeing the shrink for more than 15 minutes every 3 months - psychiatrist

thanks a ****ing bunch to those “professionals”

To be allowed to talk about what happened to us and what then to do is quite something and not easy to find irl without being further harmed in my experience.

"TRUTH AND HONESTY" where are YOU??
"DO NO HARM" where are YOU?

TOO LATE FOR ME!! Looks like I am permanently damaged now and the rotten "professionals" continue their torment because they enjoy hurting people.

Are you able to talk about your feeling angry within those relationships?

I find doing so opens up more communication.

Anger is an interesting emotion. It is often triggered by a preceding emotion, like hurt, embarrassment, sadness, rejection, etc. The key to understanding our anger is often in understanding the emotion(s) which triggered anger.

I hope you have a productive group experience today!

1. Malignant narcissism

2. I was the “wrong sex”
But maybe I was already a “disappointment” to her even before I was born
