Crying on the phone

I just talked to my mom. I told her I was not feeling that great. That my meds haven't kicked in yet. She had a stomach flu and wasn't feeling good either.
She then calmed me up a minute after sobbing, saying how sorry she was that I was feeling this way, that she didn't know what to do to make me better, if I ever would feel better again.

I got emotional too and told her that I just want her to be there and listen. So I ended up comforting her.

But it hurts hearing how I affect her. She doesn't know what to do. Wish I could just get better and not cause so much pain and sadness

I hope your meds start working soon. I'm still waiting for mine to work .

Just tell your mom you love her. I think I like your mom a lot. And what a good child you are.

I've felt the same with my mom. Despite our very rocky relationship when I was younger and her being partly responsible for why I am the way I am, we've gotten along much better since I've been on my own and I've been more open with her about things like my real feelings. Sometimes it makes her cry. It makes me feel bad that I've made her cry, but at the same time I'm tired of hiding how I feel. I don't have the will to lie anymore.

Yes I won’t lie any more either. I know it can be hard for her to hear, especially in a rough period like now where it’s the same every day almost.
Our relationship has been very rocky too.
All I won’t is to be able to have a normal, independent life, make her proud and feel less like a “failure”.
