Do you ever feel this is all there is to your life? I have been anxious for so long. Now that it is subsiding the depression is looming greater and greater. I am beginning to lose interest in those things that usually give me gratification. I feel a sense of simply going through the motions.

Do you others ever go through this? Is there something I can do to head this off before it worsens?

I try to keep active and busy when I feel this way. I find that if I keep moving and keep doing the things I usually do, my emotions will catch back up to me. Usually they do. It’s not always easy and sometimes I’ve really had to push myself. I don’t have all the right answers though. There are other important issues to consider also. If necessary, you can see your doctor and a therapist as well. Sometimes we need help from others too.

Do you notice anything that triggers these feelings? If you can identify and notice them, you might be able to manage it a little better.

Yep, I get that way a lot. The only way I've found to work against that is if I catch myself early enough that I can be busy doing what I like before the negative feels take over. If I let them take over, I will get nothing done, even things I like to do.
