The “support”.. anger :(

The “support” I have received from some of the less unkind “family” members...

I feel like deleting this :-(

I quietly and simply mentioned I was feeling anxious. I am competent with words (I have a degree ) but I have learnt that most people irl simply do not give a ****. And I’m not “just a quiet person” and I’m not “weak”

So I mentioned anxiety... oh the “shame” of it. (Mad face)

Surely I “should” have known better than to talk about anything other than the weather or people they know who I do not know... :-(

I was trying to form some sort of bond. Foolish bear :-(

(This reminds me of a very cruel therapist irl who said he wished he knew how to get me to trust him...but when I did trust him somewhat. Wham. The ugly face behind the veil. A malignant Narcissist at best I was told how indifferent he felt towards me. And a bunch more ugly things I could write a book on. But I won’t waste my time..

Their reply .. with a snarl.. “what have YOU got to be anxious about”..

Boring? Yes. Very. Where is the love in these “families”

And another “family” member who hardly knew me informed me that I wasn’t “good at anything”

Many of the doctors in this country are similar

No love, no care, no compassion, no insight, no humanity, no soul.

I could “forget” all this (and “move on” ..) if it wasn’t for...........

family members can be the most deadly...

I am very sensitive...
I love to say that about myself..
I think it is a good thing for me..

but 2 of my family members will make statements about me---

that I am too sensitive...I now say to them that I don't like
them saying that about me ...and then we go from there..
I am working on this with them....I no longer will take that crap
without defending myself...

my biggest problem is between myself and my wife..
i have learned that this is very common in marriage..
so i have learned so far that what comes OUT OF MY MOUTH...
is very important...and i also am watching what my wife says...
this has been a major factor in my depression...

It's bad enough when people don't understand or have any compassion for your suffering , but when family does it....OMG It's devastating. I always felt that if my family didn't love me or care, no one else should. I'm still getting over these thoughts. I understand how the slightest remark from family can destroy you . They all must not know you because their words and actions are far from the truth.

This issue is one of the most devastating hurts I carry with me every day. It's the reason I joined PC. I deal with it the best I can but it's a heartache that never goes away.

I understand and hope we can find peace and support here.

families are sometimes the worst. dont let them mess with your head.
i sometimes worry about the crap that mine have said
i have found i get more support online then i need
but we are here for you , i say that is true indeed
