What do you do to feel some relief from depression or sadness in your life? I'm not really asking what "should" you do, but rather what have you personally done that made things better in some way or made it easier to cope with.

Exercise helps a lot, having something to distract such as online word game, watching a funny movie. It’s hard though and often force myself to get and socialize and can tend to isolate on weekends.

I take a Vicodin, even if I don't really have any pain. I trust it to make things seem better, especially if I feel down because of my Sig. Other saying something thoughtless. (Like an hour ago.) It's childish of me.
I wish I would grow up already. |

I'm a writer, which means a write a lot to get depression off my mind and sometimes transfer it to the page. I'm not even gonna try and hide it, I smoke a fair amount of weed when it becomes too much. I also chop a lot of wood, go on walks, listen to music, watch funny and/or cool youtube vids and clean. Sometimes I give in and let myself stay on the couch, when I do that I usually end up reading something (or try to at least).

Hobbies that really hold my attention that I can concentrate on. I mainly knit. Listening to music. Going for a walk. Writing, although I haven't been doing as much of that as I'd like lately.

I add extra days for water aerobics, up to 4 days per wk.
I make sure to see my best friend I up my energizing med. I pamper myself w nice experiences I go out and get things done, even errands and chores
