Lately I’ve been feeling quite low and I told my therapist. But she said that it was normal because there are lots of things happening in my life and she didn’t take me seriously, she said that because I was going to school, eating and getting up in the morning that there was nothing to worry about. But my therapist doesn’t understand how hard is for me to do all of that and that I’m literally going to break.

I felt like if no cared because I tried to get help but my therapist said i only needed time.

I’m sorry you are having a tough time and that your therapist is not hearing you. I hear you. Can you try talking to your therapist again and tell him/her what you’ve said here?

Good on you for going to therapy and having a therapist, MeXoXO. It's positive.

Yes, I think what happens is, people sometimes [therapist included] try to assess the persons level of discomfort, not so much by their words, but by how much they appear, physically, to be struggling, in that moment. And I think nine times out of ten, we seem to be going okay, so...It's a mistake on their behalf to assume there's nothing to worry about, that you're going okay when you know full well, you're struggling. I've been there many times, myself.

Yes, as Jennifer1967 said, I think it would be a good idea to talk to your therapist again and just tell them, 'hey, I'm really struggling'. Or something like that.

Hang in there, you're doing very well, MeXoXO.

I go to a therapist and she said it's important for me to recognize and let her know if I feel like I'm breaking so we can work on ways to make sure I don't. You really should let your therapist know that you feel like your breaking because they are human as well and sometimes really don't get the hints we are trying to give with what we have said. Sometimes you have to say it outright and that if given more time you will collapse. Wish you luck!

I'm sorry you're not feeling understood. Perhaps you should make it clear that you're struggling to do those tasks you mentioned., like you wrote here.
