I really need this thread today. It is harder for me to feel grateful after a series of unfortunate events, but I think this is when it's the most important for me to feel gratitude. No tea, no shade. So, here's my list for today:

Many of the posters here at PC - notably SilverTrees as our paths have seemed to cross quite a bit, and we seem to be on similar wavelengths

The ticket I got today to go see The Tina Turner Musical in NY in October (okay, I'm super thrilled to be going to see that show!!)

People who volunteer at animal shelters

Coffee - the fact that I can afford it as well as consume it

My anti-anxiety medication - even though I have a true love/hate relationship with it (hate it because it's a benzo, love it because I'd be unable to function without it, for now)

Sorry you are having a tough time SpeckofDust and bravo for continuing to practice gratitude even after unfortunate things happened. I agree, it's of even more value to remember our gratitude on the tougher days. I try to do it every day no matter what. Peace and positive energy to you Friend

The drama has been averted. I now feel quiet acceptance of what was.

Grateful that I have enough money to live on and some extra.
That my mom is coming to help me move.
Got a new mattress on sale, and they threw in an adjustable frame, so I can lift up my head. Should help me when I'm congested.

I am grateful for

- The Feynman Lectures on Physics. After doing a bit of research over the internet, I found out that there are not many good texts available after all. And instead of going on a buying spree I should first focus on getting the Lectures, finishing my BSc and then applying for MSc, where I will learn concepts anyway on my own.

- Symphony of Science which consists of songs like Monsters of the Cosmos, We All are Connected, etc.

- I am grateful that Marvel chose to give a motivating (at least for me) character his own film, Doctor Strange.

I also am grateful for Amazon. The only thing I currently order is books, and they're damaged almost every single time. I hope the other stuff (electronics, for example) is not damaged before delivery, though.

Other than that, I am grateful for the fact I get to have books. Also, I am gonna purchase Amazon prime membership as soon as I can.

Today I am grateful for

Not being a doormat anymore
Random kitty cat sightings
Still having the ability to walk - even though it's a bit difficult and painful
The sliver of light is more of a ray, and seems to be slowly but surely overtaking the dark veil of depression
Fruit smoothies made with real, fresh fruit

Important Notice: They're not made with real hummingbirds!

Sorry if I'm stepping on Jennifer's toes...the hummingbird cakes I've tasted are a wonderful blend of fruitiness and spices (not like hot spices). They are just super yummy!

Add the nuts and you’ve got it. It is heavenly! We go to a restaurant that serves roughly 30 cakes and pies and it is one of their top sellers.
