a friend called me today after she got out the shower and told me she'd dropped the soap in the toilet

she then asked me- do you think I should rescue it?

I'm like no, just flush it

hahhaa

me acting like a mother figure to an overly excited adult

it was classic.

I was like " now now, I know it's tempting to steal the crisps, but let's be good for mommy and then we can go home"

best part was that she thought the whole mommy thing was great and burst out laughing

as I turned to go I was told,

" she needs looking after. she doesn't get out much."

haha. I was amused by the whole encounter

I should add that I was down on her level and from a distance it looked like I was talking to a child.

Saw a hip flask at the store with this printed on it: Cheaper than Therapy!

I'm not recommending that anyone replace therapy with ETOH but it was funny

nicknames that people give themselves (without asking others, they just give themselves the names)

I know "ditsy mel", "loopy leesh", and " the dragon."

lol I love when people have that kind of sense of humor

I was able to change my mood from depressed to grateful today on the PC options. Had not noticed the grateful face before. And it made me laugh because the icon looks like a sunburnt person with a really loopy grin...perhaps he's grateful for surviving the sunburn?? Hahaha

I just went to the top right corner of the screen

My mood: grateful

Click on the descriptor for your current mood (i.e grateful). When I clicked it gave me all the other options to switch to. Does that not work for you Raging?

when I was a kid, one of my greatest joys in life was to record " goo goo ga ga", over my mother's cassette tapes of bob marley (I couldn't talk, so that was my recording)

then I'd play them back and listen to myself go goo goo ga ga. it was great!

I also used to have a toy car- the idea was you shouted commands such as start the engine, light the lights, move forward, and it would do what you say

well I just said goo goo gaga to it to see what it did

sometimes it just stood their and sometimes it did all the commands at once causing like a pretend roadaccident.

one of my earliest memories that

holding my newborn sister in my arms

she was so cute, and little and frajile... I don't know about you, but holding a newborn in your arms is one of the greatest joys in life.

and they have that lovely baby smell to them as well

yesterday I was talking to someone and she said to me that she learned to walk by the age of 1

I'm like that's great, alisha. that's great

she's like: I know it is. if I ever had a dating profile I'd put in it that I'd been walking for 19 years before I say anything else.

okay, I guess if that's what you want people to know about you... not about your looks or your interests or what you're after, hjust, "I've been walking for 19 years."

another memory:

my sister used to play a card game with me called the old maid (the idea was to find matching pairs, so 2 bakers, 2 artists, 2 postmen, etc), but if you ended up with the old maid in your hand, you lost the game.

one day she came in and told me we couldn't play the game
I asked her why, and she replied

"well, because I've lost the old maid card."

yep... playing a game called the old maid without the maid... quite difficult
