Someone recently asked me a question. They asked if I was a threat to myself. I wasn't real sure how to answer that. Yes at the time I was contemplating suicide, but did I consider myself a threat? What would You consider as a threat to yourself? Yes there is a clinical answer but text books don't always align with real world.

For me I take it to mean am I in fear of myself? Which to me that would suggest I am not in control of my own actions. You may not see it this way.

There is no right or wrong answer. There is only answers based off of opinions.

From what I’ve learned in the past there is passive suicidal ideation where a person wishes there were not living, but do not have a plan to harm themselves, and active suicidal ideation which means the person has a plan. In either case it is good to seek mental health treatment.

For me I meet this definition makes sense, but any suicidal thoughts are medically severe and require treatment.

But what would zapatoes consider a threat to yourself? Do you do things that cause you to fear yourself?

Interesting question, yes in the since of driving somewhat erratically and then learning from that. In times of great distress I don’t so much “fear myself”, but wish I could not let the depression get to me. For example, my weekend plans may be nothing going on and I fall into a deep depression and have to pull myself out of it. The will to make myself get out and do things and meet others is not always there, but have been making an effort some past several months. It’s difficult since try dating and do not meet the one so it gets very discouraging.

I'm the worst person in my life, if that's what you mean.

No I am asking what would it take for You, 3rd rock, to consider yourself a threat to yourself. If someone asked you "3rd rock are you a threat to yourself?" What would it take for you to say "Yes I am a treat to myself"? Would that mean you are in fear of yourself?
