Something must be wrong with me
with all this hurt inside,
always bursting with anger,
and never any pride;

Something must be wrong with me
if all I do is cry,
I can't stop this pain
all I want to do is die.

Something must be wrong with me
if my emotions run wild,
all this confusion does
is make me feel like a lost child.

Something must be wrong with me
with all these terrible things,
always there and never gone
depression is what it brings.

Something must be wrong with me
if I can't stop these thoughts,
all this pain does
is turn my stomach in knots;

Something is truly wrong with me
when I think there's only one way out,
"Let this pain end,"
is all my heart will shout.

This is not a suicidal post by any means. Itsjustme-being me.

Elizabeth

Something must be right with you
You express yourself so well.
I can see the pain within your soul
I can hear your heart's sad cry.

Something must be right with you
To know this pain is real
You have not buried it
But turned round to face it.

Something must be right with you
To feel so much and deeply
i know today seems endless
But you will make it though this pain.

Writing poetry or anything can help momentarily with depression. I've done it, too. What we write could sound suicidal to some, but to us it's an expression of our sadness that is so hard for us. Keep writing, it will do you good. Thoughts- May trigger???? {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{itsjustme}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

I dont know what to say. Wow that was amazing all of you. Makes me cry even harder.

A QUESTION TO ALL::
Why do you care so much
Why do you help
Why do you continue with your caring when I have given up
Why do you persist when I talk like this???

It's human compassion. It's unconditional love and acceptance. We know what it's like to feel sad and life out of control. We've had these same feelings and understand what you feel. We are all in the same boat here--all of us have been diagnosed with mental illnesses. We are a family. A family is a group who gives you support and love--I think we have that here! Thoughts- May trigger???? And you, my dear, are part of our family. <font color="red">{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{itsjustme}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}</font>

Never give up...always have faith. Thoughts- May trigger????

...because we do understand

...because we know it's the depression that's doing the negative

Like inkblot said... it is human compassion. Plus we have the unique perspective of having been there, so we understand what it is like, and know how much an understanding ear can help...

Hey this gives me a chance to use my favorite quote again!

From "The West Wing":

A man is walking down the street, and falls into a hole.

The hole is so deep, and the walls so slick, that he can't get out.

He sees a doctor walking down the street, and calls out to him. "Hey doc, I've fallen in this hole- can you help me out?" The doctor writes him a prescription, throws it in the hole, and keeps walking.

Then the man sees a priest walking down the street, and calls out, "Hey father, I've fallen in this hole, can you help me out?" The priest writes down a prayer on a piece of paper, throws it in the hole, and keeps walking.

Then the man sees one of his good friends. He calls out, "Hey friend, I've fallen in this hole, can you help me out?" His friend comes over, and jumps in the hole with him.

The man says, "What are you, crazy? Now we're both in the hole!"

His friend says, "Yes, but I've been here before, and I know the way out."
