I wish there was a national support group like AA but for people with mental health issue where people could go to and talk about their feelings and experiences around people who understand. It seems talking to someone who doesn't suffer is pointless because they don't truly understand.

I've never been to either personally, but there are often DBSA and NAMI groups
|

There are groups like that. I go to the Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance. Check out dbsalliance.org.
I find the groups far more helpful than individual therapy. |
