Do some of you get that empty feeling on your birthdays?
Some of my family just left. It was okay, we had a pretty good time. They were here for a couple of hours. Now it just feels empty. And if you're not happy with how your life is going, birthdays can be pretty tough.

I am sorry you had a rough day, MatBell. I share your experience on birthdays at this stage of life. Hopefully, you can just move forward and get on with your life.
Sending you strength and support.

I very much do. My birthday comes on a holiday, New Years Day. On New Years Eve it feels like I should be celebrating and having a blast. But I never do. My family is away from me. My friend and I would do a little something and that's it. It doesn't seem to be enough. I get phone calls but it's not like having people with me.
Believe it or not, in my whole life, I never had a birthday party for me. And I probably never will for the rest of my life. Also birthdays get scary for me because it could be the year that my health will fall apart. |
