This is the worst time ever for a coronavirus lock down here alone. I'm going through major life changes & can't stand it here anymore. Last week my psychologist had me go to a psych ward for suicide planning. Depression is getting horrible, feel drained all the time and just sleep. The psych ward psychiatrist doubled my depression meds, so I'm feeling bad side effects from the change. I feel like my body wants to drive to the beach and walk along the boardwalk or take a hike in nature or go to a drawing club or just do something with people. Idk, maybe I really don't know what my body needs right now except something. Definitely something or I'm ending up in psych ward again!

Anyone have any suggestions what to do?

Dear stahrgeyzer,

It is really heartbreaking what you are going through. Having once been in a psychiatric hospital for depression I can really identify with what you write about. It is so stressful and distressing to be cooped up inside and unable to live one's normal life. Wish I knew what to say that would be helpful. Hopefully others here with more knowledge, insight and wisdom will have some good ideas. So sorry for not being able to be helpful to you in your time of misery!

Sincerely yours, Yao Wen

I really like your own suggestions on activities to do, for whatever reason I would enjoy a walk down the boardwalk if its open on a nice sunny somewhat warmer day. Do you know if its open or not? If not the nature hike is another great idea, Is the problem the people to do these activities or if there is anyone that wants to hike with you?

If your not up for getting out sometimes I chat with people in chatrooms I think psychcentral has one as well, I usually keep it really casual and get that social aspect I need at times too.

If going outside and casual chat away from I have a mental illness is what you seek stay no need for any hospitalization if you don't think you need it, talk to us here instead someones bound to have some ideas for you,

Sometimes, when I have depression, I think about some medications. Any advises about it?
