I totally agree that seeing a doctor to get properly diagnosed is the right thing to do. I wonder why you think you have bi-polar disorder? Is this something you have researched? Do mood disorders run in your family? Does the gambling only occur when you feel "manic"? IF IF IF you do have BiP d/o, the right meds will help so much!

Something else you may want to look into is Gambling Anonymous, International. According to their website, they do have meetings in Isreal.

At least you'd have some people to talk to - it's always nice to have people around who understand a bit about what you are going through. The financial pressures would be something they would understand.

I'm SO glad you found this site. Please keep posting! emmy

Welcome, 2 sad. I am a fairly recent new member.

There is much love and support for you here. Also, good insights.

I've been a 12-step program for an addiction for many, many years, and I also highly recommend it. Esp. when we are struggling with financial problems that can make therapy seem too costly (especially in our sickness and despair), GA might be a good starting point. Therapy is good, too.

I hope we will be hearing more from you.
