I have these episodes where I want to hurt myself, but I know I can’t because I am the main caregiver for my severely handicapped son. So the only way I figure I can hurt myself is to push away the people that are trying to help me and also care about me. This last time I pushed to point the person I pushed I don’t think will forgive me. The only thing is I need that person in my life to help me.

Thanks for posting this... and welcome to MSF by the way! I'm sorry you are struggling with this. Being the caregiver for a severely handicapped child must be extremely difficult especially if you're doing it alone. Hopefully participating here on MSF can be of some comfort and support to you. Best wishes...

P.S. I hope you can continue to not do harm to yourself. I know how difficult dealing with these types of feelings can be. I've given in to them way too often.
