find the motivation to start journalling again. it really helped me when I did it on a regular bases, but my life has been so boring their's nothing to journal about... I don't want to lose it as a coping tool, because it helps. I just don't know what to write in them anymore. I can't seem to cary on with just jotting down my emotions because... I don't know. it all just seems so pointless.

I've never been a person who journaled. I tried it a few times many years ago but could never keep it going. And nowadays my life is also so boring there'd be nothing to journal about except for complaining over-&-over about the same old stuff.

Me, too. I used to write a lot. Now, I just can't think of what to put in there. I even bought a new notebook so I'd be motivated to write again, but there's nothing so far.

I've kept a journal since high school (which is too many years to count). Occasionally I'm still inspired to write something meaningful, but it's mostly been perfunctory (writing briefly just before bed each night).
Most of the pages in all those notebooks (dozens by now) will never be read by anyone. I'm wondering what'll happen to them after I'm gone. It'll probably be like in Blade Runner: "All those memories will be lost in time, like tears in rain." |
