its been one of those days again, had a text message from mental health team saying i had a appiontment today via the phone,

i waited and waited , the time for the appointment came and went.
so i rang them , to be told the chap i had the appointment with was off sick, fair enough you cant stop sickness.
so i asked to speak to me cpn, oh my god it was like i had asked for her first born. " your cpn isnt available i will get her to phone you back".
that was 4 hours ago.

i shouldnt be surprised the phone calls that i havent had and the appointments that i turn up for , just to be turned away are too many to count.
but today im really struggling, i have tried shutting myself away and ive tried listening to music, but nothing seems to help. if it keeps on i will ring C.A.L.M. (campaign against living miserably) they will hopefully help me where my cpn isnt.
(c.a.l.m. is only in the uk )
im feeling sooooo low, need to talk to someone.
as my friend would say , " grrrrrrr the mht".

That's inconsiderate, I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. They could have at least called you and say that your appointment is postponed; and would you like to reschedule. I don't know why doctors feel like they are entitled to treat patients that way. If you did that to them, they would give you a lecture on how inconsiderate you are and charge you for no appearance (in person, online, or phone).

That C.A.L.M. sounds good to me, but I don't know if it is. From some articles I've read (and I may be wrong about this; forgive me if I am) about loneliness in the UK, it sounds like there's more help there than in the US.

I had a phone call today (saturday).
It was my care coordinator from the mental health team.
Guess i had ticked them right off with my phone calls, because she rang me on a saturday.
To tell me they were dropping me from their books, this came at such a shock, im still numb and its nearly midnight.
Want to shout and cry but that would show weakness.
I will keep you updated

Yes you can request to change your CPN but it can be a nightmare to do it. Put your request in writing to the Manager if the CMHT stating why you want another CPN. Note they don't have to comply, but usually will if the request is reasonable and there is another CPN with space on their list.

If the CMHT aren't willing to accommodate your request and you feel strongly enough, you may have to get an Advocacy service involved to mediate on your behalf, that's what I did.
