Wow, I feel like I just got hit by a bus. I've been quite pleased over the last two months with how the increase in dosage on my medication improved my energy and mood. But the past two days the smiles have felt fake and today I am completely overwhelmed. I'm a grad student in the middle of writing my thesis and have a deadline at midnight tonight on a chapter that is only half done, but my day was so packed I barely had time to breathe. To top it off I met with my therapist today and she can no longer see me regularly and suggested I find someone else, but I can't imagine doing so because it has taken me so long to open up to her as little as it has been and starting over seems pointless.

And I just want to curl in bed and cry but I have to make it through the next two days before I can breathe.

It's so hard to take two steps forward and one step back...

I'm sorry that you're under so much stress right now. One day at a time is all that you can do. Is there anyway that you can contact your dr? Are you suffering from anxiety as well?

One step back One step back I agree...I think it can go even further...one hour at a time, one minute at a time, one second at a time, one breath at a time, one word at a time, one paragraph at a time, and a snack or two, a few breaths...and I know you can do it, no one makes it to graduate school not able to do it!!! you have come this far, you can make the rest of the chapter, it may not be the best you can do, but it can always be revised after you have turned something in...I am here if you wanna bounce ideas or wanna just unload...

ask your t if she has a recommendation or can refer you to someone and then ask her to send your file so the person can be up to date on all you have told your old t...

One step back if thats ok!! melanie
