Hi Dawn,

I'm down today. I want to cry, but I can't... the tears just won't come... I am so overloaded that I've shut down. Even the sun and the natural beauty around me doesn't reach me... I'm so distant and far away.....

So I'm listening to REM and picking my nails...

Dear @TheGal, this thread is for members who struggle with depression, so everyone here understands how hard it is for you while you keep trying. Thank you for sharing your feelings here. I have been feeling really down especially lately. I wished that I could feel better, and people wouldn't hurt my feelings all the time especially my family.

I'm making good progress on rewrites of my novel. I rewrote the first chapter, in the hopes that this will 'hook' an editor and/or agent better. They always request you send in a sample, usually of the first ten pages or the first chapter, so it's important to have a good first chapter.

It's been pretty hot and humid where I am, so my spirits are lower. I don't do hot weather well. And this is my least favorite time of year. I have one little thing to look forward to for a change! Tomorrow I to to the dentist to get my permanent crown put in. I am sick of the temporary crown that I have now and having to chew on one side.
