I suck. I'm a reject. I'm stupid. That's why I got rejected. From what you say? Oh, only this health sciences program for 12th graders that I've wanted to do SINCE I WAS A FRESHMAN! Why did I even believe that I could get in? Only 14 people do, and only top students. That's not me. I fail.

That really sucks, but you don't. That's a big bummer, but don't take it out on yourself. I'm really sorry you didn't get into the program that was so special to you. I suck

Hahahaha...

If I were better, I would at least have gotten an interview. But NO! I'm not good enough even for that!

you are young and will have more chances. none of us sucks, well maybe sometimes, but don't let this one thing hurt you and make you feel like a failure. what about college, there are more chances to get into all kinds of clubs or special classes. you must be intelligent to even consider trying to get in. keep posting, we are a special group and you are too. good luck and hugs and kisses. pj56

Wow, hon, that is pretty sucky. Try not to take it personally. I was rejected from UC Berkely twice, even though I applied only once. They really wanted to make sure I got the message, but what can you do?

Feel free to continue to vent! Those jerks don't know what they're missing!

*hug*

Thanks for the hug.

It's pretty hard not to take it all personally. I mean, it means that my grades weren't good enough, my teacher recs were probably bad, and my essay wasn't good enough either.

...And then of course, my mom hasn't made things better. "You probably didn't get an interview because of your English grade."

She doesn't need to tell me my grades suck! I already know that.

That sucks but keep in mind we all fail all the time life about failing its how you learn .If you did everything you could to get in then its not on you you did your best you shouldn't feel bad .Maybe it was the person who picked the 14 to get in failed in there decisions or maybe it was was friends kid who wont in and he cut him a break . There are alot of reason things happen in life which you have no control of.

Them having reasons to not choose you, and taking it personally are two different things, I think. If they said it was because they didn't LIKE you, that'd be something else. This just means certain things didn't fit their criteria. Don't give up. =)

*another hug*

This is not a reflection on you as a person. You were unsuccessful in this attempt, but that does not mean you are bad or suck.
And it definitely does not predict your future successes.

You are young. You will have SO many more chances.

Trust me.....I know. I was held back twice in school (stupid eh)...today I am a doctor (a specialist).

Don't let it knock you down! Pick yourself up and look for other opportunities or other ways you get fulfill your interests!

Hang in there! I suck

See...I cannot handle failure. Never have been able to. It's not at all acceptable, and it's very upsetting. And it wouldn't be such a problem had it been a program that I just recently found out about and thought was cool...BUT, it's something that I've wanted to do for 3 years.
