I had been doing so well and BAM! just as I was afraid of something happens to spoil it. My daughter-in-law hit her head Sunday am and she went to doc today. He said one pupil was dilated so my son took her to the ER for x-rays, Neither one works and no job in site and have 3 kids. Now, he is taking her and dropping her off then coming home to wait for kids to get off bus. The 2 yr old is a terror and I end of telling him No and popping his hands all the time. When I'm nice he calls me "gran gran" and when I have to punish it is "janet" My daughter-in-law has been to the ER more times than I can count on my hands. She loves pills and is always asking me for mine. I tell her no but i'm going to have to hide them. Why is this happening? My son said he is starting to feel like his Dad when I got sick. That hurt me very badly because that is the excuse his Dad used to divorce me. He told me not to get angry and I didn't. I just cried and cried. It's like a circle turning around and around all the time. I can never get away, I want to run and hide. But where can I go? I'm stuck her to care for my Mom and be here for my son. I do have kindness and sympathy for them but where do I come in and how do I cope>......pj56....

just need someone to talk to I don't know your whole situation, but what you just related is plenty! Regarding your feeling "stuck" that is the most dangerous place to be. Has your mom a case manager you can contact? If not, and she requires assistance, there are resources there for you (contact the social worker at the local hospital, they generally have lots of ideas.)

Yes, it can be a vicious cycle. Family therapy can help stop the cycle. just need someone to talk to

It really saddens me to hear that a country cannot provide a health program for its residents. It is very disturbing when a family breaks down because sickness or injury has hit the family.

Thank goodness I live in Canada where an illness or injury does not mean you cannot afford to love somebody.

I send you big hugs, pucky. I know it does not heal the motional wounds of the situation. But if it does help any...I hope you know that we are here for you.
