Wednesday I got a decent review at work, and for the last two days I've been a no-talent hack. It's messing with my head. just how much can one person suck? :-

And yes, I should define myself by things other than my job, but that's easier said than done, as it's pretty much the only measurable success (sort of just how much can one person suck? :-) in my sorry life to date.

just how much can one person suck? :-

2 weeks to pdoc appt -- wonder if I'll make it.

Candybear, I dont know what you do at your job. But you said you got a decent review. From your posting I would say without know you of course that you are hard on yourself. I am too. I am my own worse critic. I think if you have much more to offer then you can admit. All you can do is smile through each day and they will get better, you will be amazed.

{{{{{{{{{Candy}}}}}}}}} at least you got a good review. I'm proud of you!!

I am the same way - judge myself by how my job is going. Unfortunately, I have been unemployed since March, so can you imagine how I'm doing? lol

Please take care of yourself and remember that you are an exceptionally talented person.

Weeelll....I got a review that wasn't as bad as last year's, which was pretty bad. But at least I hit "meets expectations" on everything this time. It's the average students who run the world anyway, right?

But today, my boss told me my story was "almost good." I thought that was particularly tactless...might just be me and my sensitivity. just how much can one person suck? :-

I agree the "almost good" comment is particularly tactless (a similar comment was made to me by a relative ......)

You will make it. You're strong, and quite brilliant. I'm happy to call you a friend.

PS. You don't, never will, can't possibly... suck.
