You know, I think that if you have more than one thing you are dealing with mentally, that could put more weight on the depression.

You say you've been "diagnosed with general anxiety", when? Before the other mental issues, or after?
Sounds like you're having medical treatment, good thing if you have.
How long have you had the depression, just recently or from way back?
See you've joined in May so a very warm welcome from me to you

i have tons of probs it seems like

i think its the other way around: i mean depression seems to the original sins. It make others worse.
take my self as an example:i m quite sure i had other problems before i got depression but they have never seem such big problems to me until i got depression.

As my lovely pdoc told me... he said I was depressed because "my life sucked". Not because of a chemical imbalance, but because of my coexisting mental stuff already there, and the fact that I have a (physical) disability on top of it all.... so yeah, I'd say that depression can sometimes be caused by dealing with other things, or can exist at the same time, or could be caused by another issue. Not really in a position to say because I'm not a professional, just sharing my experiences.
