I am frightened. I can feel my depression getting worse. All the things I am doing to deal with it aren't working. I can't find a therapist or counselor. I keep hoping it's going to get better somehow and it isn't. I keep trying to figure out other ways to deal with it, other things to do, but I am not having success. It feels frightening.

((((((((((((((((((((((((ErinBear))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I am so sorry that you continue to have such difficulty finding a t. Is there somewhere you can go to see if meds might help? I wish I could help more but wanted you to know that I am here.

Thanks bipoar bear. I've been on meds many times before, and have tried ECT - neither seem to work for me unfortunately. Therapy has helped but at this point I am not having luck finding a therapist. It's a hard time. Thanks for your reply.

Take care,
ErinBear

What about online therapy in the mean time? It might be better than nothing. I hope you find someone.

Hi ErinBear,

Sometimes our MD's are good to talk to while we are looking for support.
Your Doctor can offer specific advice or medicine to temp. assist you while you are waiting, even his/her office can make a referral for you.

Hang in there. As you stated, you have had this before, so I'm hoping you realize eventually this will improve ... and the professional help is of value.
Please hang in there.
There is hope.

peace and comfort,
nightbird

Thank you Fuzzybear

(((((Fuzzybear))))))

frightened frightened frightened

I had to start a course of prednisone yesterday due to problems with sciatica and a pinched nerve in my neck - I have been trying conservative treatment for these issues but they've been getting worse, and my doctor and physical therapist said I really needed to go ahead with the prednisone. But when I've been on it in the past, it's made my depression a lot worse, so it's pretty worrisome. I hope I get through this okay. One of the times I ended up in the hospital.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Sending good thoughts to you too.

Hugs if okay,
ErinBear

Thanks ((((jinnyann)))) for the kind thoughts. Yes, it's awkward that it's so hard to find a counselor right now, but I'm thankful for PC and hope I can find other ways of getting through this too.

Thank you for your kindness.

Take care,
ErinBear
