When the person you love lands themselves in hospital again?
What can you do, but sit next to the phone, wish that you were with them, and try to get the awful last image of have of them out of you head and keep saying over and over again, he'll be okay. I was watching him, I look away for a minute, our friends look away for a minute, then he's on the floor. I'd be with him but I have to stay home they said. Emergency room. He hates hospitals. Friends all with me. I'm so scared. I know he'll make it, I know the injury far too well it's just a repeat of the last time. The last time, though, they said he was lucky to be alive. I don't want to have to stick this a trigger topic so nothing else to say. Why does this have to happen so fast. I'm new to the site and I don't know a lot of people and I didn't want to start a topic, but, just... I can't believe this. I was sure it would be okay, I was watching him, but even the quickest minute away can be hazardous. I've been looking up the injury, I just can't get the picture of him so hurt out of my head... Time to lie down next to the phone, shut the computer off and pray emergency work goes okay. I'm on a bad wicket without him

First round of emergency stuff went okay. He's stable but they're not done and I don't know when he'll be back
At least I know that much.Still can't visit him, still sitting by the phone, hoping I'll get some miraculous ring saying he's perfectly fine and I can come see him. No sleep last night, not that sleep matters right now.

Talked with the hospital, they said that everything went well, and that they should be able to discharge him tomorrow soonest, or possibly Thursday or Wednesday. Thank goodness for that.

Sorry about your friend, glad that he is doing better now, but I hope your not blaming yourself, it wasn't at all, it just happen and sometimes no matter how hard we try, injuries happen. You need to eat and get sleep, you won't be much help to your friend if you get sick or hurt. Take care and keep posting as often as you have to, and keep us informed.

im sorry this is so hard kate. and its difficult to comprehend what you and he goes through. but you both have my well wishes. your both incredibly strong people. dont forget that.
