I was supposed to find out a week ago whether or not I'd be allowed to live in the dorms again this semester. This is a HUGE thing for me, I can't fathom the idea of living at home and trying to commute and somehow avoiding being isolated from everyone, or falling back in things because getting to campus to take care of them is so difficult while living at home. I was doing so well, starting to pull myself together, but not knowing is too much for me, and I'm so fallen apart. I've emailed again asking if she's decided but she still hasn't given me an answer... she knows how important it is to me... I keep thinking the only thing this could mean is she doesn't think I should return.
And that means death. I won't take such crap anymore, I've fought long enough and I won't keep going if this is what I'll have to deal with.
Why can't she just tell me already?!?!?!?!?

And now they're out of the office until Tuesday! I understand it's the holidays, but she's still got a job to do... I tried emailing and calling, but get no response. I'm left in limbo... all I can do is worry... I can't focus on the schoolwork I so desperatly need to finish up... because it's all hopeless if I'm stuck living here. X-|

Maybe she is trying to find you a place? Maybe someone else has a room but she knows probably won't return, and she's holding out on telling you No, when she might be able to say Yes soon????



try to stop worrying over something you have no control over right now... and get to those books, you can control that! sigh.

i'm sorry you're having to deal with this. what anxiety...the not knowing! that's the hardest thing for me as well, as i have to plan and prepare for EVERYTHING.

when my daughter was in college, she went through the same thing and it was a terribly hard time for her...not knowing, but everything turned out fine.

i have one question, when are ppl supposed to be notified of their room assignments? maybe they're not due out yet and that's why you haven't received it? also, has someone possibly been ill and they're running behind?

in any case, i sure hope you hear something soon. there's truth to what sky says but that's so much easier said than done when in the midst of panic i understand your panic, but you are going to have to try to focus and know that you will hear something. you already know that you're not going to hear anything until tuesday (unless it comes via regular mail). try to focus on work, etc. but what helps me at a time like that is planning what i CAN plan. prepare your plan of action for 9 a.m. tues a.m. then maybe you can relax a bit until then?
