I dont want to keep harping on about how I feel better these days .... I just want to inject some hope is all ....
18 months of therapy and good friends here and IRL has made my depression retreat .... I was once hopeless, felt worthless, no self esteem or confidence, life was just a pain in the butt ... Please know you can get through it ..... the days WILL become brighter and your mind more peaceful ...... If this happened tome, then it can happen to you too .... and my therapist said the same to me when I first started therapy and no I didn't believe her ...... But I am finally enjoying my life, Iam happy most days, still have the odd fall, who doesn't..... I am going to do a doploma and then a degree in psychology next ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am quite happy for you, and I hope that things only get better. I too have been in treatment for a long time, and I don't know if anyone is ever done with it. I think you always need someone to kick you in the butt and let you know up from down.

Way to go! it sounds like your hard work is paying dividends, and I'm sincerely happy for you.
Thank you for sharing. Most of us need reminders that things do indeed get better... Cap

Because of the nature of my past it will always at some time 'haunt me' no doubt ....and there will always bean element of depression which will return. But I am more aware of how to handle things .... and able to 'kick' my own butt at times .... still in therapy and will be for a while ... but the down days are more bareable .... peace and love to you, may your days get better too .... hugs, Jinny xoxoxoxoxo ((((((((((((thankyou everyone for your replies ....)))))))))))))))))) ![]() ![]() |

Jinny, I think you are a wise person.
I believe part of our healing is accepting that we will have days of peace, days of poop... Sometimes we can head off a fall-down time by putting into place, and following them, the things that steady us. A varied support system, so to speak. Yet there are times when nothing is going to work, and we start over again. I don't mean that to sound gloomy, it's the nature of being mentally interesting. Being grateful, and sharing that with others, is a winning attitude... Best wishes, Cap
