What do you do when all you seem capable of doing is crying?
I wake from my dreams during the night with tears streaming down my face. The nights seem so short and the days much to long. But it doesn't really matter because it all just runs together. I should be doing things, taking care of the house and on and on and on. But all I do is sit here in my own little world doing nothing just sitting here. Why can't this world go away, just go away.

I know the feeling all too well ![]() it's hard, but the best thing to do is to push yourself to do things. Try and make it fun? Is there any music you like to sing to? Play that loud whilst doing the hoovering... if it's your cup of tea dance like mad to Queen "I want to break free", put a funny voice on...... may not seem natural and like you want to do it but you'll soon get into the spirit (doesn't have to be Queen or hoovering, theyre just examples.... heck, it doesnt have to be singing and dancing, just something to 'brighten up' doing the housework). ![]() ![]() take good care... I would try and be more helpful, but I'm tired and my brain is cooperating with my fingers very well Molly

turn your sadness into a song ((Kebs))) let the words flow and the tears come and cry and sing til your tears have sailed away again another time for you... let those songs turn from sad to not so sad, to happy and one day joy after awhile hurting one...

I hear you. I hear you and I'm so sorry you're feeling like this. What you described is all too familiar to me, as I'm sure it is to others here as well. What do I do? Well, I allow myself to cry a little (or try and express my emotions somehow)... and then I wait for the storm to pass. It always does... sometimes it just takes a little longer then others. As for waking up in the night... just think of it as your body's way of trying to express itself. The best thing to do to try and stop the days from running into nights and all over again, is to break the cycle. Do something that you wouldn't normally do. It doesn't have to be anything exotic or expensive, or even time consuming. It can be anything... distract yourself with things you use to do as a child. Make a phone call to an old friend. Look deep into yourself and see all the good and love that is there (and it IS there, don't say it isn't). Just do something to make the days seem more separate, and you'll feel more whole. Hang in there... and i'm always here if you need a shoulder, or someone to just bounce ideas off of. ![]() ![]()

I'm going to sat this on these boards for the umpteenth time, but I say this because it helped me Kebs...
I bought some cd's by Bellaruth Naperstak, and I have slept well since. Besides that, I wake up without old heartaches and headaches too. I listened to her cd's about my issues, and low and behold, my sub-conscious got ahold of the stuff and I am a better person today thanks to taking the chance to give it a try. She uses guided imagery and affirmations, separately, because people accept one or the other or both. You do the inner work with her, in bed, before you fall into a nice rest. You get to relax in your jammies, and listen to wonderful music and her comforting, wise voice, as you find within you, (with her guidance), a very safe place thru images that you can change all the time... a place to go to in your mind and work out things, simply, and thru this type of inner imagery, a very subtle healing happens. She has tapes for all of our issues, just get the one that resonates with you. Depression? Grief? There are so many. I've been doing her Fighting Cancer, and Chemo and Rad, plus Fatigue, and now I'm doing her prep for Major Surgery. I also heard other tapes thru a lending library that has them. Health & Wellness, etc. It works, and if you are looking for something safe to do, in the privacy of your own room, it's great. She is allowed, btw, in many hospitals, these tapes, and even operating rooms for patient use, not for the staff to hear though, they's fall out! lol. With headphones. Not to use while driving though, that's how good it is! What have you got to lose Keb? If you want, I'll send you one of her tapes, ok? Whatever you want to do. I think she belongs in all of our down day baskets, to be truthful, because the tapes incorporate a few senses, making it work on deeper levels. And you know, like I do, once something works better, or actually gets fixed, it's a done deal! Well, if not Bella, someone else then. Either way, it's beautiful time well spent, and to add to the fight against major depression with intrusive thoughts, along with some other form of therapy, of course, how can we pass the chance? I'm sold on this. I don't push stuff Kebs, just self care and love and peace inside. I only found this resource since August, and I am thrilled to tell anyone about this medically approved approach to healing, from within. Think about it? I do the same thing. Not with the person you recommended but I am going to look into it. Mine has been around for a zillion years so there may be major advances. ((krebs))...truly this does help! for me it is a subtle but powerful self-help tool...as with anything else, you have to be willing...but it's not hard and it does reap incredible benefits. Please try it...nightbird offered to share hers and I do the same...mine are older but may still help you. I've used my tapes for just about everything, and used them with success despite initial reluctance. At first, I was only able to find a quiet place within me where it felt safe no matter what was happening on the outside. Opening that safe place to include other events, and then accepting It Does Work was an incredible relief. So many people sincerely care about you... Cap
