I've been on Lexapro for situational depression for about 3 weeks now. Since then I have became really paranoid (which wasn't one of my traits before). Could this be a side effect? Also, any tips of how to get though it?

I'm not sure... I would definately call your p-doc and tell them what you are experiencing. Make sure you keep yourself safe.

we have a drug forum where Cam comes and answers questions like these... in the meantime go to the site and see what the company says... www.lexapro.com

Sorry to hear you are experiencing symptoms of paranoia... if they are chemical induced I don't think there is anything but get off it... but don't do so without talking to your doctor.

I started effexor over a month ago and I experienced some paranoia as well. It scared the crap out of me. I shared my feelings with my husband and all my other support people. I know that the paranoia feelings can be quite scary but it seemed to dissipate after a very short while. I would definitely talk to your T about it though. Hang in there, your definitely not alone.
