Hi dunk! Welcome to PC. I think anger is part and parcel of depression, so to use one aspect or another of it to try and feel better is probably common.

Yes. I often write letters, journals and etc. that I then destroy to vent and never others to read, in order to cope. I am not an agressive person yet coping in a non violent way is a positive outlet in my opinion. Welcome and good luck hope you continue to post here and best wishes with your not violent agression coping.

Welcome & blessings!

I've got chronic depression, and I always feel better when I'm angry - gets the blood pumping, the heart racing, makes me feel like I can accomplish stuff that I normally just don't have the energy to do - like cleaning the house.

I also feel emotionally flat a lot of the time, so sometimes anger is the only thing I can ever feel deeply. Even if it's negative, feeling something is better than not feeling at all.
