I am so sad right now, I don't know what to do, it's that time of year where I have lost 3 very special people in my life, my mom, dad and a aunt, though it's spands 20 years, I still find it hard to get through the holidays. Now with all that, I'm losing my dog now too, I know that's stupid, but she is like a baby to me and it's going to be very hard to have her put to sleep. My husband doesn't want to listen to me and my in-laws would say it's just a stupid dog and its dumb to be upset over it, but they don't know what real love is, even if it hit them in the face. I'm feeling so empty right now, and I don't know what to do, my dog was the only real thing keeping me going, now I won't have her anymore. Why does everything I love die, or leave me, I just don't understand this circle of life crap anymore.

Sorry

oh down...

im so sorry to see you so, well... down.
i cannot imagine the hole you feel from losing several close, loved ones all in one season. particularly this one; leaves falling, rain coming and such. but i can see what it would look like.

as a dog/daughter owner/mother, i do know that feeling. the instant i saw the word 'dog' in yr post, my eyes started their familiar leaking. i cant imagine what it will be like when ill have to face that decision with my little girl 'cub', or if that decision is made for me by fate. ive lost many pets, and dogs have always been my brothers, sisters, and children. im so sorry.

you are a calming and warm woman, and you have been very kind to me and very keen to when ive needed someone just to ask how i was doing. i hope these last few words from me make YOU feel a tiny bit warmer even though right now its chilly outside and in your world.

I am so sorry that this time of year is so hard for you. I have never been able to understand people who say that they are just dogs, we love them and they love us that is a very special connection. I recently lost a dog too, I know that it can be very hard, don't let others let you feel bad for having a connection with a pet.

just wanted to say -
it's not stupid to feel something for your dog.

I lost my cat a few years back and it screwed me up pretty bad.
Pets are part of the family too - sometimes closer than actual relatives. Enjoy your dog as long as you can, I'm sorry you'll have to lose

hugs
