I think I figured it out how to be happy during the holydays. Very easy, you have to work like a slave. In the last years I have been spending more and more time in my shop. Currently I am home only while sleeping and a few hours at evening. So when it's holyday I am free of this slavery. I do nothing pleasant, even because I don't have time to arrange anything. But just not being under pressure every waking minute feels good.
So this year the perspective of holydays with all the stuff involved does not frighten me as always.

BTW, I'm half joking. This should not be the solution. Anyway, just a thought.

You don't get off that easy, nice try though. I do agree with your concept. No social engagements or family get togethers and enough work to keep the brain from engaging makes for a very uneventful holiday. As a frog of little brain, I think I'll hide under the nearest lily pad.
