I have had a little bad patch recently and something I did for myself that helped me was this.

I went and printed out my early threads (4 of them) so that I have 'em to hand when I am not able to sit at the p.c.

It sounds really obvious and maybe ppl do this already, but even printing them out was therapeutic, clipping them together and making a special folder to put them in.

All those kind words in response to my negativity, isolation and anxiety.

So I will never forget it all even in years to come !!!!

The therapeutic printing of threads........ thanks to all...............Poppet

Poppet -- I never thought of this. It's a fabulous idea. One of my Ts told me to keep a journal of nice things people say to me, esp. students, bec. I get into slumps where I think I'm the worst teacher ever and of course the depression. So this is lot like that -- except I wouldn't have to write anything, just print it out!

This is a genius idea!

Hi Poppet,

That's a good one. Sometimes our depression diaries can get a bit one dimensional (did I say that?) and we need some reflection. I confess to printing a couple of threads myself, particularly when I can feel the connections and the good vibes.

I like it when people say that I have been helpful, or that I really understand what we are dealing with. It's a reality check for me.

Cheers, Myzen The therapeutic printing of threads........
