questions on new med

I'm .wondering if anyone has been prescribed the med ambilify. I finally was taken off of zyrprexa....originally for panic dissorders...because of weight gain and ineffectivness. My Doc suggested ambilify...does anyone know of side effects...and whether it was helpful. any feed back would be greatly appreciated. thanks....

is the abilify to help with panic disorders or depression?

i have taken abilify to help with depression. i found it gave me a lot of energy, but didn't really help with my mood. other people have found it useful though, so maybe it just wasn't the right drug for me.

re: side effects - i didn't have any, but a lot of people complain that the "energy" lift that i spoke about makes them feel really jittery.

Abilify is helpful for both my depressed mood and anxiety. I don't get especially jittery from it, though some people do.

My side effects seem to be minimal with the exception of slow, insidious weight gain. Abilify does not pack the pounds on as nearly as rapidly as Zyprexa, and for many people it is weight neutral. But not for everyone, so just watch it.
