For personal reasons, I will change the names of my people as well as my name in here.
3-29-05 Root canal at 3:45pm. Took us over an hour to get there. On way there, one of my people (who is the helper) helped me by having somebody else out while I looked out the eyes. Had me be numb & another in control of the Body yet I could still be aware of the surroundings, just not have to feel anything. My doc had wrote a letter & I had asked if the dentist received it. He said he did. My doc, she had only met me 3x now & seemed to understand who I am. The letter was behind me under my file, my husband didn’t want to look at the letter, didn’t want to get in trouble. Odd for him. He’s usually more outgoing than me. I didn’t mind ‘cos it’s ‘bout me. So I grabbed it & read it. She put in letter DID, & alters, like a 7 y/o, none are angry (or…) & that “Rhys” (me) will most likely be out, but “Madison” is flamboyant. I didn’t think she could see. We spent our lives being hidden but my husband said sometimes he can see. Just doesn’t know who it is, just that I’m not me in a sense. “Madison” is dead, she integrated, but maybe another one comes out that I don’t know ‘bout??
Dentist said he dealt w/ multiples before. That in itself helped. My tooth wasn’t that bad off so wouldn’t need a root canal, but later it would, he doesn’t do fillings only major dental & I didn’t want to have to go to another place so we decided to get it done now. Would need one eventually, might as well do it now. Told him of last time wisdom extracted, not enough novocaine ‘cos someBody still felt it & that we were switching lots. He understood. Said he is comfortable w/ the amount he’s giving me but if I need to stop, just let him know & we can ‘talk’ or something. They have a TV & one of those seated bay windows. Deck around & birdfeeder, relaxing. Squeezed my husband’s hand the entire time. ‘bout 2 hours total, he was standing by me nearly all that time! Got gas too. That didn’t scare me/ us. One of my 11 y/o’s inside didn’t mind it. She took the most time for the procedure. It reminded her of our old dentist when we were younger who used gas. She kept getting confused though & was like waiting for certain things to happen. i.e. when the drill hit, supposed to have water, then spit. We had to help her understand that it’s not the old dentist. We didn’t have trauma w/ dentists back then.
Here’s the ‘revelation’. Since I was young, I’d get what I call “Shocks”. ‘cos it feels like that ding of a light bulb or that Aha! feeling. My Shocks were never wrong & mostly it was my people communicating a secret to me. During the procedure I had one. My 11 y/o doesn’t mind gas ‘cos smells trigger us. If we don’t smell, we don’t trigger! I didn’t know that! Hence why we always need to spray something all over to ‘mask’ an ‘odor’. & she herself always has to spray perfume at night. Maybe why I have a good sense of smell. This certainly explains a lot. I don’t think a dentist hurt me though. But now I have more questions for inside. Thank you for letting me share it as it’s another step towards ‘knowing’ that deep dark secret. Another piece to our puzzle.
Love,
RhysMadison

RhysMadison,

I am delighted to hear how gentle and kind this dentist was with you. I agree that getting the root canal over and done with now instead of waiting was a good idea.

Your 'shock' moment seems like a big one! What a wise eleven year old.

I'm glad you are finding out more about how the puzzle fits together.

Very proud of you for how you all handled this situation.
