I only know a little bit about DBT and nothing about mind control. I do seem to be better off not believing everything I think, though.

I guess I get a chance to test out my "skills" tomorrow as there's another family thing to go to.
I know I have choices in what I listen to and believe but man oh man...somebody in my head gets all crazy with visual triggers when the family is around.

Good luck! -- but yes, do keep "testing your skills."

For me, the most important skill ever is something like taking a step back and watching myself go whatever kind of crazy I go. Surprisingly, each time I watch myself go through it I get at least a little less crazy about that particular kind of situation. It almost always takes more than one pass, sometimes quite a few, but if I persist long enough I do eventually get to a place where going crazy no longer seems worth the bother. It would be cool if it turned out to work like that for you, too.

Someone needs to install an "on/off crazy" switch in my head.
