Yesterday, we took the baby to a local state park. we played and threw rocks in the water, picked flowers and just had a wonderful time. he was thrilled.

later, hubby took us over on the other side and there were shells by the river bank. An internal child wanted to find "pearl shells". i knew she was there. i heard her wants and felt her excitement and longing.

i told hubby to watch the baby and me and child looked for a "pearl shell" . i was back, but not far. it was so sweet. hubby found a HUGE one for us that was still together and the child used it as a treasure box for all her little shells. she found some with the "pearl stuff" on the inside. then we hit pay dirt. Sweet she found one that was all pearl all the way thru! she was so excited and carefully placed it in the treasure box, and was gone.

i will treasure those moments and the shell forever. i got to watch and enjoy this child in pure joy. there are some beautiful and precious things with DID, and i wanted to share this one.

thanks for listening.
