I love them but can they please shutup for a couple of hours, honestly, its almost five am and they keep me up all night. For some reason I am not allowed to sleep. Its been that way for a week. I can feel it, i havent heard it, but one of the others is disallowing me to sleep. Need to do much work of course but i really need to sleep ![]() |

(((((Mandie))))),
What you are going through is normal for anyone who would be dealing with all the things you have going on in your life right now. I know that when I have problems going on in my life, I am constantly waking up during the night with my mind trying to work of ideas that might help me deal or help fix the problems. My mind has always been like that & there is only one inside there. Even when I was an engineer & I had a problem to solve at work, I would wake up in the middle of my sleep with an idea, or even a solution to try the next day. My mind just never shuts off when I have a problem & it's even worse when I have more than one thing that's bothering me. When I went through the trauma (which is more like you are dealing with....having Jer in foster care & trying to make sure you get him back is more like a trauma in my mind) the only way I could get any sleep was for my pdoc to up my dose of seroquel.....that is the one med that completely knocks me out so I can sleep....I don't wake up well after that either, but sometimes I just needed sleep more than worrying about functioning afterward. At my worst, I was on 600mg of seroquel just to sleep.....but that was all I did was sleep so I could shut off my mind. It may be that one is keeping you from sleeping, but what you are going through is normal for everyone who is under stress.....aggravating, but normal. Gee, it was my mind that woke me up at 4am now. For me, it's either my mind working on a problem, or my dogs wanting to snuggle. My mind has been overactive lately also, trying to come up with some solutions to situations I am in. You are in the company of many others whose mind doesn't shut off.....we all have a subconscious mind that is continually working even while we sleep......think that may be more what you are dealing with than anything else. Hope you can get some sleep.....if you are still on seroquel you may ask your pdoc to allow for a larger dose at night so you can sleep as long as you don't have to be up & functioning early the next morning. ![]() Debbie Quote:

(((((((((((((((((Rainbowzz))))))))))))))))) That's so hard and I'm so sorry. Have you tried journaling? When I take the time to journal, it helps my head get stuff out that is bottled up. I learn stuff and it has like a bucket dumping effect, which is helpful for me. Maybe you can try to write down what you hear inside?
Please take gentle care. We are here if you need a shoulder. Please keep us posted. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Sorry this is going on. Wanttoheal's advice about journaling was great. Other ideas are coloring or drawing, playing with clay or working in other mediums where your feelings can be released.
The other thing is if you have internal communication between parts, is simply to try and ask what is going on to cause the uprising? If you do not have communication, perhaps your T can help facilitate it. |
