One of the disadvantages of being a 50 year old trapped in a 17 year old body is you have to go to school. Not only is it school, but it's THIS school:
"The Joliet Learning Center (JLC) is a new special education program that is designed to meet the needs of students with significant emotional disabilities. This program provides educational and mental health services to Cherry Creek School District students in a separate public school facility. We are located at the Joliet Complex, serving special education students in grades 6 through 11.
Our staff is committed to providing high quality academic programming while addressing the emotional and behavioral needs of each student. Our treatment goals focus on behaviors that impact success in the school setting. JLC students will return to their neighborhood schools when treatment goals have been met.
Referrals to the Joliet Learning Center are made by the student's neighborhood or center school with prior parental approval and a clear understanding of the referral process. Following a referral meeting, which is held at the neighborhood or center school, a pre-placement meeting/interview will be held at JLC in order for all parties to be able to agree regarding the appropriateness of the placement.
District transportation is provided to students attending the JLC."
So not only will we suffer from PC withdrawl, but we'll be going to a shool that wishes to make all of us go away!!!!
At least we get to be on here on evenings, weekends, and The Host is going back to her "Home school" in January...but STILL!
Wish us luck and prepare for ALOT of venting on here!
Last year one of us wrote a letter to the teachers, telling them about us and that we would introduce ourselves. Gerard, ((Dance)Erik's father)forgot untill the end of the first class. He walked up to the teacher and said, "Hello, do you remember the letter? I forgot to introduce myself---" The teacher cut him off and said, "As long as I know how you're feeling, it's ok. You don't have to name your feelings" GRRRRRRRRRRR!

Best of luck at school. I hope it goes well for you. I thought you were a senior? This school only goes up to 11th grade. It sounds like a school that wants to help though, so that's good. I hope you will be able to share more about what goes on for you. Maybe it will lead to better help for you.

Defenitly...we WILL be sharing!

Perhaps if you try not to fight it but be more an observer than participant without getting emotional then your stress level will be lower and the host can participate in the learning and meet the requirements for completing the "treatment". I guess i'm suggesting that you "play the game" and don't rock the boat so you can get out of the program sooner.........Just my thoughts

I hope the school goes well for you. Maybe you will even find some helpful things there. I am sorry it is causing you distress. Good luck.

This school sounds like a school I went too for 2 years, 10th & 11th grade. It was a public school for students with emotional problems that weren't making it in a regular school setting. I had been kicked out of my old school for harming myself during school. The school wasn't too bad. We had the level system and if you had the top level 4, you could go across the street at lunch to McDonalds. That was cool. And like at one point I was put back in the hospital and lost my levels. The teaches like didn't do "therapy" with you. They just made school less stressful. If you were having a hard time that day, they wouldn't make school to hard for you. They would let you call your T during school if needed. To go to school there you had to be in therapy and your therapist had to approve for you to go to school there. During my second year there I went to a school around the corner for my math classes to get used to being at a regular school part of the day. The school helped me a lot. I was about to drop out of school completely. I was 16 and I could hardly read, but I was doing college math. So they helped me get my reading level up to finish high school and they helped challeneged me in math.
Get what you can out of the school. Just remember they are just teachers, not T's. So don't except to much from them, I pretty sure they have no clue about DID.

Well, as you can see, we're back from the first day of school! (Webber)Erik was out for the first 2 1/2 classes, then I was out for 1 1/2, then I was out for the rest of the day!
I guess one reason why it was so good is that we didn't have to deal with our T there. we can't STAND her! Lst year,(Webber)Erik seeked her help with his nightmares, and decided to tell her breifly about his past (since that's what his nightmares are about). He begain with, "I was born in 1831, and my father---" He was cut off by the T saying in that annoying, T "baby" voice, "OHHH! You're going to tell me a STORY!" LUCKILY for us, Webber was able to continue without getting angry. She also made a huge deal about us carrying around the novel (Kay)Erik is from for English class, because it was"Phantom related."
ANYway, getting back on topic, we had a pretty good day, but still wished we were on PC. Once we see that T though, our spirits'll drop, lol

Can't imagine going to a school like that. Once there was a substitute in for my aide and she was kinda creeping me out because she was constantly trying to help me out and was always hovering around me. (just because I had directed study halls/in the disabled kids program instead of normal ones doesn't mean I'm stupid or something!...and if the pre-ACT test counts for anything I'm better then 99% of the country in almost every subject aside from math and science. which is 65% and 82% respectively) I think she was used to working with little kids.

Today was offically the end of our first week of school!
It went better than expected, though we wished we were here the whole time!
Today we had to talk to our Social Worker, who thank god is NOT the woman we had last year, but a fellow named M. Miller. I actlly despise the man, for he is the one who suggested we come to the school in the first place-luckily Roger delt with him today!
Now we can't wait for two full days of PC! (Exept tomorrow, we are going to see a film!)

We're glad the week is over at school for you and glad it went all right.
Sorry you have to put up with that T and the teacher but the others here are right...play the game, don't rock the boat..and all of that aggravation should go away. Take care.
Thanks for this!

Hello, everyone!
My name is Raoul, but I suppose if there were other Raouls here, I'd be (Webber)Raoul. This morning while I was getting off the bus, I fell! I felt rather embarrased, and everyone was making a big deal about it, as though I was dying! The left elbow, shoulder, and right knee got scraped up a bit, but no blood! However, the left forearm, shoulder, and knee hurt something terrible, and the left shoulder hurts a bit. We'll be perfectly fine, though!
Take care, everyone!

Hello!
In Writing class, we have a journal that we write in the first seven minuets of class, and the teacher replies to what we have written. Yesterday, (Dance)Erik wrote about How he was all sweaty from playing soccer (Which he appears to be quite good at!)and the teacher wrote back, "....but it still beats being 'beneath the opera house'". It IS true, and 'beneath the opera house' was actully the beginning of "The Phantom of the Opera" title song, before they changed it to, 'In sleep, he sang to me'.
We were laughing, very amused!

Awww that's cool, it reminds me of my english teacher in 11th grade, we had to write journals every day and he always had witty comments to make on our writing. Though, I'm pretty skilled at writing so I didn't have to worry about him making fun of it or anything. This is the same english teacher I had in 12th grade for American literature (the first semester was Shakespeare) and he told me he would eventually "develop a whiskey habbit" after I compared Thoreau to a Giant Panda
