I have to have a tooth out on Saturday with only local anaesthetic
 . I can take 5mg of diazapam before I go but I am dreading it as it brings back memories of childhood having gas with that awful black mask over your face and the horrendous dreams etc ....I have to have surgery ie they have to cut my gum to get the tooth out. I'm so scared ..... I hoep I don't cry or anything. I know I'll shake real bad. I know i wotn have gas but it just makes me scared. Just needed to write this out. So I've voiced it. thankyou for listening. me x  I'm really quite scared.

sending very safe hugs!!! You might be able to use creative visualization to distract yourself. It sometimes works a little for me - fellow dentalphobe :-)
