Growing slowly but surely

We spent time with some friends going over the past few years. .......
This life is so wild to have parts that know happiness and yet still have those that know only pain and hardship because there are those that are willing to take advantage of someone else fear.
With each memoir/ alter that shares with the whole it is like a get out of jail card. It hurts like h*** but after the alter realise that the abuse no longer has to continue its like having a boil that is so full that you can not think of anything else but the pain. Then when it pops it still hurt even more so but it does begin to fade. Then as we share the good memoirs the bad one don't feel so dark. To be free to know that no one can make you do something you do not want to do. At least not with out a fight. We have survied h*** on earth. Those that have DID and PSTD are not that way because they have lived a life in a rose garden.
But to be at peace that is the greatest gift of all to know that you did the best you could and still lived. The greatest geift of all is that my son may not fully respect me/us but he is applying himself at school. He is now taken responsibilty for his life .
Now right or wrong we are still holding our ground in what we are willing to do or take from other people. That is freeing to know that we are now deciding and able to back up our choices more and more.
The DAlmation are realising that it is the aduilt responsibility to keep the body safe and that we can walk away from people that do not make us feel safe. But it also with the knowledge that what we do is for us now.
L~ lousy things happen to good people but we can work through them and change our actions to make life different. I once thought that We had to accept being treated with little respect but now I welcome the right to walk more and more. We may not be able to leave this town yet but it is coming. Just do not know how many more boils we have to lance so we can heal...
But with each one we are more and more able to call our life our own and that we no longer have to take the abuse of others.
The ability to come here to have the freedom to purg that which we have not been able to do all these years that we have lived here has given us the ablilty to think that there can be a better future us.

Thank you so much for posting. I know we say this a lot but it is true: we find so much strength from your posts. Some of us inside always ask if we can come to PC to see how Anderson is doing (and lots of others but your name is one of the first ones). There is so much that we gain from reading about your triumphs and struggles and you ability to overcome them. Words often fail me, and they are failing me now as I try to convey our deep love and gratitude for you. Thank you so very much. You and everyone else here have been such a huge support for us. Not many people can we find help and safety in, but we are lucky to count you among the few. Safe hugs and warm fuzzies from the hotel when ok.

we applaud ur spunk an determination to see life from a different standpoint and to keep goin despite the pain of the past...you truly have been a blessing to many around here, and we r glad to see u keep goin despite the h*** you went through, as you say. we too come away with much from your posts, and thank u for sharin ur life with us...it isn't ever easy this life of ours...but when the healin comes it sure is worth the peace we have from the inside out...

It is the same for us the lack of words to say how much you have helped us to. This family tree of PC World has done so much for us. The peace of knowing that we are not alone anymore is what gives us streangth to get through each healing. WE are so much better having you and your hotel here in our lives.

Please know that you are truely needed here even to just let us here know that our partners can see and understand us. We just add another dimenision to the relationship. The pain within is overwhelming but those here understand that pain. When we hurt this bad we try to stay low because we all do not have a way with words. When the storyteller is out she can put hope in our pain but at times "Hope" is much like a demon. For how can you have hope when those near you can not see or hear the pain within because they refuse to see the concept of one body many soul parts. WE did have a good friend and partner in the past but since we came back to the surfice so many things have changed towards those with DID. Just know that we are sitting here rocking with you and all within too.

Thank you for posting and for being part of PC and part of our life. You have overcome many obstacles and though there are many more to overcome, you keep coming back and reaching forth and moving forward. I know that many times in this walk it seems we can take one step forward and then three steps back, but as long as we keep coming and trying, though we may fall---we get back up again, we cannot fail. It is in the quitting that we no longer give ourselves any way to move.

Sometimes when it feels we are not moving, we really are. For sometimes we have to sit with things and be silent in order for us to hear those still small voices within that have so much to say. Sometimes to sit still is so hard but it is so rewarding as we get to know and understand what within has a voice, sometimes for the first time. Taking that risk to listen to yourself is really big as many times for us anyway, we could not listen or hear anything for it was not safe. Many times no one inside was saying anything out of fear of being heard for being heard was never possible.

Many times you come here and share the hard stuff and you are willing to look at it----that in and of itself is not easy to do but you all do it. It is an inspiration many times to us within. For a long time I and the others would not post, afraid of rejection and not being believed plegged our heart and words would not come. Many here including you my friend have given us courage to allow ourselves to reach here and to take the risk to be heard. When you live in a world of us's and we's sometimes it is hard to even hear one's self among all within and being able to write what is so pressing on our hearts is hard. But seeing you and others post has really helped us also. So thank you for that.

This walk is not easy, and many times it is embearable, but together we can walk not alone many times for the first time. Here feels as though we are understood and accepted as so many times understanding comes from others who listen, understand, and are walking in many aspects where we are. Those here at PC know and accept others without judgement or at least more than someone outside who many times has their heart and mind shut off to those who hurt. Here we can reach without fear of no one believing or caring. When we need support there is always others willing to reach out and give, sharing many times their own experiences that give hope to what otherwise feels so dark. But it also is a place that we can reach out and give that support when someone else is struggling. So many times it is in the giving for us that we receive so much.

Thank you anderson for sharing. I too believe that one day the dalmations will find safety and freedom from those who seem to continue to abuse. Your rights will be honored and you will rise up stronger for what you have endured. Thank you for sharing so openingly here and for trusting us and giving us the privelege to walk with you and to see the transformations taking place. Sometimes we can take steps that we can see but many times it is the babysteps, the second by second inching that allows us to move forward. You do have the right to live safely and for yous now. It takes work my friend, something I see you doing each day. Thank you for sharing your jouney with us. It is an honor to know you all.

All within you make sense to us. The way all of you can use words still amazes us. For most of us even though we do share alot we each are at our own level of skill. That is why we like it here so much we can be our selfs and not worry about how we sound even when we are dealing with the big stuff.
