Sharon's "radar" is back!

When Sharon gave (Hill)Erik his pancakes tonight, she called him to the kitchen BY HIS NAME!! She is learning!!

We spoke too soon apparently.

On Wednesday night we had a friend over. (Hill)Erik was out and answered the telephone when Sharon called to ask what kind of Sherbert we wanted from the store. After she gave the choices and Hill replied, Sharon demanded coldly, "Are you Brittany?" Hill was silent for a moment, then repeated his Sherbert choice. Sharon coldly replied, with empthises on the name, "Ok Brittany," then Hill hung up on her to avoid an argument (which I am very proud of).

I swear to god, she needs to make up her bloody mind weather to accept us or not! It's driving us mad!!

I spoke about this wih Sharon in tharapy today, & she said she thought it was Stacy (the friend) on the telephone, because like mine, her voice is deep. I told her it didn't SOUND as if she thought that way, because she sounded very angry/suspicious. When we were alone again Jane (T) said it could've been the noise from the store that caued her to raise her voice.

I don't know if I belive either of them...

We do feel you were given a plausible explanation for Sharon's behavior. Whether or not it is the correct explanation, we don't know, and you probably cannot either.
Although it is extremely frustrating, you cannot expect that Sharon will change her tune all at once. She is most likely not going to suddenly believe you and start acknowleding you. She will likely be taking many steps forward and back. It may take her a very long time to come to terms with all that you are. This is, very understandably, going to be hard on you. But in spite of the set back, we think it still sounds like she is trying, even if she is sometimes failing. ~Emma

It's very frusterating not to know weather or not it is safe to be out or not--in your own home! As I told Jane (T) on Tuseday, it is like a teenager's mother giveing their daughter permission to wear a mini-skirt one day, then yelling at her to put on jeans the next, day after day after day (granted, it was the only modern anology I could think of!)! We cannot STAND mixed signals, THAT'S what's getting to us!

Today we had a regular check-up at the doctors. To make a long story short, on the way home, Sharon told us as long as we make Brittany (Core) happy, she dosen't care if we're around anymore. The Dr. must've got it into her head at last that we are not bad! Oh, happy day indeed! No words can describe how pleased we are!! After 7 years she accepts us at LAST!
