Sorry people but we need to unload again. In last couple of days I/we have been trying to get the paper work needed to get a service dog. Now this is the catcher some of the people that have helped us in the past think that we should remember them but not the fact that they to at times have hurt us with their actions.

What gets me is that the people that have truly been there for us are all for us gettting a service dog. The local public bus drivers have been really good and talking to us and helping us get to where we need to be and feel safe out in public. But they are not with us all the time.

anderson,
What people see is only what they allow them selfs to see. A former teacher of mine said "in every situation there are three side, your side, the other persons side, and what really happened"

I hope things get better for you,
I symathize it happens to me too.

Sorry, I/we are having problems with the internite. the good thing is that after we unloaded here(or at least thought we did) we finely got to talk with a couple of the guys that have helped us. They told us that they finely understood the fact that the main time we reacted baddly the p-doc was near us. Now if what they said was true then all those people that thought we were reacting to them instead of those that have hurt us. We just might have finely worked our way through the left way, the right way and then to the truth!!!!!

At the aquaplex the place that we had membership and was able to use the hot tub and showers to chili out the pain from the abuse that we had endure. There was a couple of situations in which another customer would approach us the wrong way. There was this one man that was really pushy and we lodge a complaint. This person also lodge one against me but the simple fact that we were told to stay away from each other gave us the space we needed to still use the place. But what got me is the very same people that helped made that happen also did things that did not make us feel comfortable.
~
Now when we were homeless the aquaplex was one of the few place that we could go and only had to deal with a small amount of BS. We had a choice to deal with physical abuse or just verbal abuse. It was a group decision the verbal abuse was more tolerable. Now that we have a safe place we seldom go there because those with in do not have the strength to deal with the crap but we were hoping that the few that gave us shelter from the physical abuse would understand that a service dog would give us that sense of safety. That they gave us even if they did hurt us at times with the way they choice to talk to us.
~
Now this questionnaire had two purpose one to help us show the people in charge of my therapy that I/we are more aware of what is happening but also get the people that have helped us that we do remember what they have done to us and how they have choicen to treat us at different times. But some have chosen to blow it off we just hope enough people choice to do it so we can prove that we can handle and take care of an animal but also train it with the help of a professional dog trainer.
~
To whom it may concern,
I am currently trying to get qualified for a service dog based on my SMI status. As you are aware of I/we have had a very rough last couple of years the main blow starting when my trailer burned down and we lost all sense of safety. I have acted out pushing people away from me because I felt like they would harm me. When I first started attending FCC I was very scared and many of you helped me to overcome my fears so that I could sit and actually enjoy real conversations. I know that when certain people showed up that we still have had those panic attacks. What we need to help us show the full story to our Therapist and Nurse practinor is those that have helped us to heal would answer the fallowing question.
~
How am I different from when I first started to attend church to now?
~
If you have seen me have full blown panic attacks are you aware of what was happening to me or who was near me at the time of attack?
~
If you can tell the difference between us switching in fear or just switching alters can you explain how you can tell?
~
Those that helped us recover from a panic attack, did we recognize you even in that state of mind? How can you tell I/we recognize you?
~
If you can tell different alters by our action and word usage can you please let me know >
How many?
How they react differently?
~
Those of you that have seen others talk us out of panic attacks can you understand stand how a service dog could help us? Please explain the benefits as you see them.
~
Please take time to complete this survey this just may help us get a service dog sooner then later. Anderson

Hoping for you to find some resolution and peace in your efforts.

I didn't have a service dog but I sure missed my regular dog and when he passed, he was 19 years old. He was a good buddy for so many years for our family and for me.

All the best,
Hunny

My service dog isn't for my panic disorder (PTSD) but he sure helps! He self taught himself to "climb" up onto my lap (his front paws and head as he stands on his hind legs) whenever I've become upset or anxious. He won't leave until I do calm...even though I can forget what he's doing and try to push him off or order him off. He stays right there until I can calmly assure him I'm okay (again.)

So much of what you are trying to do without the dog is part of what the dog will help you do with him.

Thank you, Hunny and JD,
we at times feel overwhelemed by what we are doing but when we come here we realise that we are not alone. The dream to have a dog or a person that will help keep us safe and calm has become so huge for us. I/we have been up and down all night. we got those appointments this month, just hope things work out so that we can have a little more sercurity is all.

Let's not forget that service animals can be anything.....I/we like to consider our kitties to be service kitties, cause without them, we'd be going insane most of the time

((((((((((Anderson)))))))))))) Anderson, you are very special. We are praying that all works out in promptness and in order to fascilitate you getting the dog as quickly as possible.
My new puppy is very smart and helpful with my depression and anxiety. He already puts his head and front paws in my lap and refuses to leave my side on bad days. He is a great comfort....except for his love of chewing things up and grabbing trash and running, but that happens on the good days, lol.
I hope all works to your advantage very quickly, you deserve it!!
