WOOT!!!! this is Stacy and i have really good news!!! Lara-- an "alter"-- is having a baby!!! in about 5 hours!! I'm so happy for her!!!! MEHMEHMEH!!!!

I'm not sure I understand? Sorry, I don't have DID; I have DDNOS, so this could be part of my confusion. What do you mean that an alter is having a baby in 5 hours?

is this a situation where an alter while in control of the body became pregnant in which case the physical body is pregnant and ready to give birth?

if so questions -
how can you predict that in 5 hours this alter is going to be in control of the body at the exact time of labor and delivery? if so that is amazing to me because I have never been able to switch into alters when ever anyone wanted me to, and I could not predict which alters I was going to switch into.

How can you predict that in 5 hours this baby will be born, babies usually dont come on a schedule. it usually depends on how fast the physical body dilates and how long it takes for the baby to get into the correct position and how long it takes for the baby to move on down through. if this is a first birth it could take as many as 36 or more hours for the baby to be born

or

is the physical body going to under go a scheduled C - Section?

or is this a situation of an alter that keeps reliving the memory of having a baby?

My name is Eric, and I'm the dad of the kid. I'm an "alter" too, and to put it nicely, alters can have families just like regular people, because we ARE regular people!!!!!!!! The body doesn't have to be pregnant does it? Everyone's system is damn different!! This made me very offended!!!!! We are NOT parts, we are humans I say!!!!!!!! This is almost like saying you can't have a step parent or...somethig!!!!!!!!!

I placed a trigger thingy up because my post talks about how human babies are created and born. for some people this can be triggering.

like I said I didnt understand. that was the reason why I asked you those questions. I did not mean to offend.

no one can know how anothers system works unless they are told by the poster explaining things or members asking questions and answers are given.

if you would like people to understand your system and you then you need to allow us to ask you our questions when your posts are not clear to us.

with me and my DID there was one human physical body and over 30 alters residing within that one human body.

if something happened to an alter the one physical body that was shared by all was affected.

example an alter eating peanut butter and having an allergic reaction. it was the alter that was allergic and the shared human body went through the changes called an allergic reaction - physically had hives and blisters from that alter.

yes I know people with DID can have families. my partner and I plan to have a family together.

your question "The body doesn't have to be pregnant does it?" the answer is yes that is how humans have babies. you can go to a library and read many books that explains how human beings have babies.

here is a short explanation on how humans have babies -

the human male and human female have sex, you need a male human body and a female human body. the male human body contains the sperm for making a baby and the female human body has the ovums for making the baby.

the human female carries the baby within their physical body inside the uterus (womb) until the baby is ready to be born. the human female body goes through many changes over the nine months the baby is inside the human female body.

with humans there are only two ways for the baby to be born (leave the human female body).. naturally by the baby working its way down the birth canal (vagina). this happens when the human female body is in labor and delivery stages of giving birth. This way is unpredictable because there is no way to know for sure how long the female body will be in labor before it is ready to have the baby move down the birth canal. A human female can be in labor for a very long time before the human body is ready for the baby to move down the birth canal.

or by C section. thats when a doctor surgically makes a cut in the human female physical body through the abdomen opening up the womb and removing the baby from the womb through the surgical cut. then the human female body is sewed together again after the baby has been removed. this way is predictable because the human body doesnt need to go through labor. The C section can be scheduled to happen any time the doctor thinks it is ok for the baby to be removed from the womb.

you gave us no information other than the baby is going to be born and I dont remember you ever telling us you were male or that you were in a male human body so I thought you were within a human female body that was going to be ready to give birth to the baby in 5 hours.

because of lack of information in your post and when I read your past posts there was no mention of a pregnancy and getting ready for a baby, I was confused.

I honestly wanted to know what was going on and how your system works. thats why I was asking all those questions.

I too was confused and I don't think reacting in anger to amandalouise was necessary. She didn't mean any harm by her post. She seemed to just be "wondering out loud" because she wasn't sure what you were talking about. As she said, if you want people to understand your system, you need to be receptive to questions. You are right when you say that everyone's system is different. So in order for people to understand what we mean we often have to actually tell them rather than getting upset when they ask valid questions.

As a side note, I do know someone with DID who in the process of integrating two alters (a male and a female), instead of coming together as one part, they came together by falling in love and having a baby alter instead. So this sort of thing can happen but everyone is different.

Then i'll tell you how our system works. Inside we have our own bodies. My wife and i are both "alters" and had sex inside, she got pregnent inside, so she had the kid inside.The whole 5 hour thing is cuse my wife is an actual witch and i am an actual warlock. And i know how babies are made, i'm 35 even though the outside body is 17. i just get offended easily, sorry

Our system works a BIT different centering this if I may share.....
for example (ironically enough because of the example you used,), I'm allergic to Peanuts. If I came out and accidentally ate one (and I know because this happened once, ALMOST happened again), I could go back in and only I would feel the affects, not the body or whoever came out after that. The same thing goes for (Kay)Erik being out when he has a heart att*ck due to his morphine add*ction.

(Sorry that we're a bit late on this.) We all thought that this was very interesting, we have never heard of anything like this. Erik, CONGRATULATIONS ON THE BABY!!! The way our system works is that whatever happens to the body when one of us is out stays the same, like when one of us cuts we all bear the scars. What I'm wondering is how you see the different bodies of your different people inside of you. When one of us isn't "out", we just kind of become voices in this soft, comforting blackness that is our mind. And also, we're in total agreement with whoever said that "ALTERS" ARE REAL PEOPLE!!! We hate it when people say, "oh your just a personality". Not true!!

Also a side note: everyone's system with DID is diffrent, and in genoral everyone is diffrent. In some cases "alters" can a be a relative term..... also, just putting out that the forms shouldnt be about weather or how DID works, but more of how we all support and work with it in diffrent ways..... (I dont know if I am aloud to say that...)
