It's half term and I made it. Had plenty today to stretch me to the limit, though. I didn't do my best teaching this afternoon, not at all. Partly I was too ambitious, partly resources let me down and partly the students were too excited.
But I made it.
Hubby has tried to persuade me to go to the gym but I know I am just too tired. Tonight is going to be takeaway pizza, a glass or two of wine and not much more (OK, lots of housework since I have come back to find breakfast things STILL on the table and the kitchen a tip...)
It's half term!

Thank you, kimmy; that is so kind of you. The reassurance that I "do so well" is so helpful, because I find that hard to say to myself.

I'm looking forward to a good week without teaching - a chance to recharge, catch up on things I can't do in term time (frequent visits to the gym for example), getting ahead in planning to help me cope with the coming term, and forgetting all about the "OFSTED" word (school inspection, for those not familiar with UK education) which has been heard much too often around work and which has hugely added to my stress. I'm also planning in a session with my counsellor and I may even get time to meet and pray with my pastor and his wife - something I have been wanting to do since returning to church but have not managed to find any time for.

Not sure what "Miller Time" is, Ben, but I will enjoy my week off even without that knowledge! Though if you want to fill me in, it will ease my curiosity!
Thanks

Thanks so much, Sarah
Really enjoying the feeling of holiday - and of time to do all the "stuff" I don't normally have time to. That includes some basic health / self care stuff (dental check, flu injection) and hopefully some fun stuff too - I would really like to pick up my genealogy again this holiday.
Yes, it's good to have made it!

Lol no worries there Caroline. I'm gonna kick back, relax...go to Belgium for a few days and get fat on chocolate...come back and hang out with friends, have a sleepy over where none of us will sleep...maybe do some school work...Lol I wish you as much fun, peace, calm and happiness as you deserve. Have a very happy calming holiday!

Thanks, shadow!

I have a few things planned in that I have to do, but resting is on the list as well.
