Posted on Safe room thread now just plain scared hearing noises from attic , door is locked is it real is it in our head should we look? or wait for Papa to get home

Wait for Papa and know you are safe for now. Nothing can hurt you. Can you do something to keep you busy? Sometimes when I am really scared I can get by if I keep myself so busy that I can't think.

If you are the only one there right now you will cope. I know it is scary, but you have inside you all you need to survive this. remember that you are safe, nothing bad will hurt you here.

Papa got home about 7 pm and we're doing better just got scared from noises in the new house

I am comforted by small spaces with mild light. I used to use a closet in the house to just regather, rest and feel safe. I even had a tent in the living room once. Actually thinking that would be a neat thing to do again. Glad you are feeling better.

I like small spaces when I am scared. Haven't got any right now. I remember I had a bed I could hide under once.
