Allie, here is the story our mummy tells us. I hope you like it

Dave had a dog called dogger and he took dogger everywhere. Dogger was a soft brown dog and he loved dave too. Dave even washed him in a bowl of water when he got a bit dirty. One day dave and his mum went to school to collect daves big sister bella. While they were waiting Dave noticed that men were in the playground hanging up flags. Daves mum told him that the flags were for a school fair the next day to raise money for books. Dave pressed dogger up against the gates to watch the men setting everything up. That night at dinner dave was very quiet, at bath time he was quieter still and by bed time he said "i want dogger" Noone could find him. Mummy looked in the kitchen, daddy looked in the garden and bella looked in her toy chest. Dogger was no where to be found. Dave went to bed alone and cried all night.

The next day mummy took dave and bella to the school fair. Bellla won the three legged race with her friend barbara. Then Bella won a raffle and her prize was a huge yellow teddy. Dave was sad cos he had no dogger and Bella seemed to be winning everything. He went for a wander on his own and went over to an old toy stand. There at the back, sitting with all the other toys was..........................................Dogger! He had a sticker on him saying he cost 5pence. Dave only had 3 pence and he tried to tell the lady that there had been a mistake, dogger was his and he must have lost him the day before. The lady didnt listen. Dave ran about trying to find mummy but she was nowhere to be seen. Then he saw bella and told her all about dogger. Together they ran back to the toy stand and the worse thing had happened. A girl had bought dogger and was walking away with him. Bella tried to explain that Dogger belonged to Dave and asked for him back. The girls said no, she had bought him. Then the girl and dave both stood there crying. Bella noticed that the girl was looking at the big yellow teddy she had won in the raffle. Bella asked the girl if she would swap the teddy for dogger. "oH YES" said the girl, handing dave dogger and taking the big yellow teddy from bella.

That night when in bed, Dave asked bella if she would miss the teddy and bella said no, she already slept with 7 teddys and there would be no room for her if she had another one. Dave smiled and thanked bella for being kind and went to sleep with his beautiful dogger
